Mr. Orange (aka Orang Min / Orange Lad) is a 3D orange with arms and legs that became a cult reaction meme.
Mr Orange was created and posted in 2006 on a 3D sculpting forum called ZBrush. It stayed dead for 9 years until 2015 when it randomly resurfaced after blowing up on Youtube.
It blew up after YouTuber Cyranek ( Creator of Stonks ) made a Brodyquest-style video with it called “Memequest"

On July 5, 2006, a user named jit_gohil posted the original image in a thread titled “Beware the Orangeman” on ZBrush Central (a forum for the 3D sculpting software ZBrush). This is documented on Know Your Meme and multiple other meme archives.

Just one month earlier (June 2006), the exact same username (jit_gohil) was posting on ZBrush Central. Jit was actively helping another user with ZBrush techniques and signed off as “Laters, Jit.” This proves that jit_gohil was a real, active member of the ZBrush community during that exact period.

Then we found that a person named Jit Gohil (same name) has a publicly available 2011 resume that shows he was doing professional 3D modelling and animation work starting in 2006. The same year the Mr. Orange model was created.

We reached out and confirmed it was him, he is fully onboarded and all fees are redirected to the original Mr Orange creator. Time to run one of the oldest internet memes with the creator onboard.
