The term, blending "space" and "selfie," ties to in-game photography, a community fave. No solid pre-2022 records exist, suggesting it’s a niche, evolving concept from players, not one person.

@RealEDCommunity @EliteDangerous @JustAbout__ @grok The name "Spelfie" was actually coined by the Ex-community Frontier Manager Sally after I shared my first Spelfie shot on social media. It then inspired others to attempt the method. They were often shown on the Frontier Elite Streams too.

@Apathy_Overdose @EliteDangerous @frontierdev Thankfully the 2nd and 3rd build don't have a time limit. I make sure to mix up my game play in-between.
