. @TulsiGabbard and Abe are not just friends to Ben and me, they are family. They are the godparents to our eldest daughter Liberty. I first met them nearly a decade ago during one of the darkest periods of my life, and after just one lunch together, I immediately fell in love with both of them. At a time when I felt lost, I knew I had found a sister in Tulsi. She and Abe have brought so much light into my life through their love of country, devotion to family, deep faith in God, humor, selflessness, and the kind of joy that feels like finding a rainbow after a long storm. Over the years, we have been through many highs and lows together, and I could not be more proud of the people they are or the sacrifices they have both made in service to this country. Right now, our hearts are with Abe as he faces the road ahead in his cancer battle. He is one of the strongest, kindest, and most resilient people I know, and I have complete faith in his strength and spirit. Ben and I are also incredibly proud of the important work Tulsi has done as Director of National Intelligence. Public service always comes with sacrifice, and she has led with courage, conviction, and integrity during a consequential time for our country.
