Multnomah County will open 5 severe weather shelters tonight (Feb. 11) at 8 p.m. until noon Wednesday as the forecast calls for bitterly cold temperatures and wind. The Chair has extended the state of emergency so @trimet will not turn away anyone unable to pay for a ride to a warming shelter. Bookmark and visit multco.us/cold for the latest information.
