👀 See what patients are saying about Providence--Oregon's largest and wealthiest health care company. This is why 92% of Prov. patients surveyed support the 5,000 union caregivers at Prov. ready to strike to improve healthcare for patients and providers. #patientsbeforeprofits

Providence's patients are sharing their experiences ... the results aren't good. 90% of patients reported a negative experience w/Prov. and a majority reported multiple bad experiences. It's easy to see why 92% support striking caregivers.✊ 📺 ow.ly/FUT850UAv8y

These health care heroes at Providence deserve fair wages & work conditions for their round-the-clock service saving lives and restoring Oregonians to good health. Proud to stand in support of these health care workers.

After 1 year of bargaining with Providence execs and NO meaningful progress, today we announced we are striking on January 10th. At my hospital this includes the IM, Med-Peds, Palliative care, & OB hospitalists, and the Prov-employed OBGYNs, midwives, and ALL the nurses. /1

Can you spot the lie from the truth??? 🔍🔍🔍 Providence has delayed the bargaining process by arriving at negotiations late and unprepared. We are now faced with multiple units working with expired contracts, and who have bargained for a year! #PatientsOverProfits

Today Providence physicians, nurses, and midwives gathered with press to share their stories and explain the challenges Providence workers face when management refuses to compromise. As of today 9 bargaining units at Providence facilities have voted to authorize strikes.

Providence faces a recruitment problem, undervaluing current physicians and struggling to attract experienced doctors. A fair contract would make Providence a more appealing employer, helping to recruit and retain skilled workers, and address staffing issues sustainably.

Are you a Providence patient? Many patients are reporting longer waits, difficulty scheduling appts. & less time w/providers. Has this happened to you? Share your experience now—good or bad—& help your doctors, nurses & staff get Prov. back on track! 👉 ow.ly/2r1h50UgZhw

I think we can all agree we want our caregivers to be well-rested and present with us, to provide the best care possible. A fair contract would address staffing and overwork concerns, which in turn would prevent the exhaustion many workers face. #PatientsOverProfits #unionstrong

What did you do in the last hour? Worked a bit or ran errands? For two nurses that hour was plagued with workplace violence. Employee safety in healthcare is in crisis and we need to do something now. Share your story to support legislation at OregonRN.org/WPV

Providence has been giving doctors more than 20 patients at a time who are desperately trying to give them the best care they can. This means longer hours, burnout, and turnover. A fair contract can hold management accountable on scheduling, patient load, and staffing.
