photomagnetic | odd | chiral | redox-active | molecules and molecular solids recently chasing chills of chemical bonding

🟣 Researchers at the @JagiellonskiUni have developed a new Prussian Blue Analogue – a material that may significantly accelerate the development of future technologies based on spintronics, magnetic memory, and quantum devices. The latest Advanced Science publication describes a cyanide‑based molecular magnet constructed from vanadium(II) and molybdenum(III) ions. These replace the traditional iron ions found in the classic Prussian Blue structure. The result is ferrimagnetic ordering persisting above 400 K (127 °C) – a value previously unseen in materials of this kind. These measurements were performed at the SOLARIS on the ASTRA beamline. 🔗More information on our website: synchrotron.uj.edu.pl
