A R120-million housing project in Ekurhuleni meant to house 450 families has been stalled since 2019. The project has been abandoned because the money has apparently ran out. There are no clear answers when construction is going to resume. Full details on this story coming up on eNCA this weekend. Tune in to #eNCA, channel #DStv403.

The late Marumo Eric Phenya (57) A businessman and whistleblower who was assassinated in Roodepoort on the 17 October 2022. He was ambushed by two gunmen at a traffic light on Hendrik Potgieter Road, who fired at least 10 shots into his vehicle. He was targeted after flagging corruption related to a multi-million-rand security systems tender at the Department of Home Affairs. Two months prior to his murder he received explicit death threats, including a phone call from a man identifying himself as "Xolani" who warned them that a hit had been ordered. Although they reported these threats and opened an intimidation case, no protection was provided. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

@D_Molatoli They already knew Masemola is going to be suspended before they appointed Mkhwanazi as head of nation crime prevention project
They are opening a space for someone who is going to serve their interests as NC like they did with police ministry
English

So basically, these IDAC people, by making General Masemola to join Cat Matlala and 15 others when they appear in court on the 23th May, the intention is actually to break his spirit, to humiliate and embarrass him, by making him stand next to Cat Matlala as a co-accused, God knows number what because Matlala is number one, and stand in a line with his junior Officers who would otherwise salute him under normal circumstances. 😥💔
What surprises me, is that they said in court that he is not charged under Schedule 5 like the rest of the group, he is charged under the PFMA, hence he was not arrested like the others, but was issued with the summons. So, why do they bring him to court with the rest of them then if the offenses are not the same?
No one can convince me otherwise that IDAC is pursuing some sinister, wicked and nefarious hidden agenda against General Masemola, Khumalo and Mkhwanazi. So far, Mkhwanazi is the only one not charged, maybe yet. By the way things are going, they are busy planning for him.
There is no guarantee that the President of this country will appoint General Mkhwanazi as Acting National Commissioner when he suspends General Masemola. I see other people excited as if it's a given that Mkhwanazi will be given the Acting NatCom position.
Be that as it may, whoever they decide to appoint, Mkhwanazi will still push in his new role as the Head of the National Crime Fighting Project, regardless of who they appoint. His mandate is broad, therefore that is comforting a bit. But for now, I feel terrible about what is happening. Real criminals in uniform are sipping their whiskey out there where they are, celebrating. But, their time will come. Good will triumph over evil.

Homes worth millions were demolished in Thohoyandou last week by Thulamela Municipality.
Families are now left with nothing.
Anger is rising.
Authorities say the structures were built on disputed land. That raises a hard truth. You must verify land ownership before you build.
Check with the local chief. Confirm with the municipality. Get written proof.
At the same time, residents deserve clear communication and fair process before any demolition.
This situation shows what happens when land disputes are ignored until it is too late.

English

@Sir_Sompane @Xivangele The worst thing that land was developed by the residents, government never helped in any way
Now the chief is sidelined and home owners chased with no alternative space or housing
