Sharing soil ❤️ presenting @ #TNRM2022 conference Darwin. Favourite quotes; connect with country, life brings life, sponsor diversity, livestock as macrobes, just get out of the way! Soil Will Save Us. Oh and how cute is NT soil baby!?!

@GusWhyte It’s happening! Wonderful to see the MLA funded Rangelands Living Skin Project pulling cores to 1m to baseline soil carbon & better understand practices that regenerate the rangelands. @GusWhyte can’t wait to see more results of the #rehydration work too. Love this project!

Today must be “carbon day”, we have a crew here taking core samples for soil carbon as part of the Rangeland Living Skin project. I also have a first working group meeting, having input to what a carbon course might look like for livestock producers to assess & reduce emissions

This is the start of a new beginning for these claypans that have had banks put up and water ponded on them. See the sodic layer has dissolved and the clay is starting to crack as a normal clay would.

More multi-species examples to boost soil health - this time in Katherine (NT)! Very fortunate to be on the road for the @TerritoryNRM Soil Symposium talking with farmers about strategies to build soil carbon.Keep up with the farmer innovation! @Soil_sister

Talking #soilcarbon and #legumes at Tooraweenah. Nothing beats being in the paddock where you can see the carbon growing in front of your eyes! Plenty of hard seeded legumes on show to drive N-Fix and C-seq, and check out the #soilbuilding potential of this multi-species crop!
