In chess, having the upper hand doesn't mean you can just declare victory and walk away. You only win by checkmate or the opponent's surrender. The same goes for war 🇺🇸🇮🇷

@DrEliDavid Yeah but what does checkmate mean? That you captured the king. You don't have to go on and capture the last pawn standing. (And if you did deliver a checkmate and your opponent says they're still alive and kicking, that doesn't change much, does it?)

To clarify: The analysis below isn't about pessimism. Far from it: Progress has been incredible so far, and I'm confident we are on path to victory. But like a chess match where you have the upper hand, you can't simply "declare victory" mid-game and walk away.

Once again you really lack the knowledge to be asking pertinent question. You’re coming from a minuscule country made up of people of Jewish faith. That’s the very basic definition of Israel. Now you’re expanding your limited view to an empire as vast as Iran, i.e. a classic fallacy of false equivalence. Iran since time immemorial has been founded and inhabited by different ethnicities living together under one flag on one land. That is the glory of Iran and in no way compatible with your worldview. Again I’m not even talking about your very random definition of historical homeland, and why Arabs in Israel should not be given a chance to a referendum based on your criteria.

Of course the result is a resounding yes to stay with Iran, but this is not the question at hand. To put Iran’s territorial integrity to a referendum is a most dangerous, vile and absurd of a precedent to set. What’s next? Each province holding its referendum?
