I knew that ridiculously long break would never be good for this group of players. They just become complacent and lose focus so quickly Tbf we started well first half, just didn’t take the chances This falling apart is unacceptable though. Miserable way to end. #wwfc

Ended up stuck on a broken down train for 3.5 hours, paid a bill for an uber and am now waiting in an airport for 2 more hours for an also delayed flight But the worst part of all of that has been that I’ve had to watch these last 20 mins of the Wolves game… #wwfc

I’ve never watched a fight where one fighter just continually falls on the other before Those two Wilder knockdowns were absolute nonsense - forearm shoves and leaning on Del Boy, should have been picked up early on Weak refereeing ruined the outcome of that fight tbh

Most of the worst players I ever played with were freestyle footballers Absolutely no understanding of the game and often zero physicality I had a coach at school who picked the team based on who could do the most keepy-uppies… I walked off the pitch 1st half of the first game

It’s so clear that people overrate aesthetics compared to actually contributing to winning football and trophies All players can really do is win games and trophies because everything else (inc. individual accolades) is just noise/opinions And these days the noise is too much

Doesn’t help when the ref lets them get away with all manner of mud wrestling and time wasting Thiago, Jensen and Kayode (how did he not pick up a yellow???) all avoided clear yellows in the first half Then Angel gets booked for one of the cleanest tackles you’ll see #wwfc

We slapped Brentford 4-1 away a couple of years ago, had the exact blueprint for how to play them And it’s like we’ve agreed never to try and do it again for a full 90 minutes They’re an awful team, garbage when you press them high up #wwfc

Joao Gomes absolutely class - put in his usual work rate but also showed some quality touches and moments in possession (the pass to Jackson first half especially) Krejci was a rock at the back - whole defence very solid Rodrigo Gomes, what a guy #wwfc
