Let's talk about the elephant in the room concerning ID cards... If 80,000 mobile phones were stolen in London alone last year, then revise that figure to now read "80,000 Identity Thefts"... can you see where this is now going if we all must carry Digital ID... 🤔

So, double the arrests than 'Unite the UK' with a tiny fraction of the turnout... but they say there is a 'far-right' problem in our country.

I strongly recommend It Returned to the Desert, a reimagined version of the Amiga classic with some Xcom styled battle mechanics. Can't go wrong at that price

@uxian @CommodoreBlog Doesn't matter, UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and further changes in new areas of law covering: what should happen when digital content (eg online films, games, e-books) is faulty - the act now gives consumers a clear right to repair or replacement

Nintendo is cracking down on mods and emulators with its new user agreement, telling players it reserves the right to brick their consoles in response. It will be interesting to see what happens a few months down the line when hardware hackers get their hands on the system.☠️

@ibisum @DefenceForceOrg bureau has a few meanings, but the furniture we are discussing is exactly that. The fact it is a little office in itself, just compounds the meaning of the word. Here is an official meaning g.co/kgs/TsDagUs

@OriginalXOR @DefenceForceOrg It’s not a good word in English because it can also mean a division or department in a larger organization, and it is kind of stigmatized in that sense, whereas ‘cabinet’ is more direct and accurate without any baggage.

How would you call in English and French this type of piece of furniture. It's kind of a "multimedia/hifi/tv" furniture with drawers and doors and a panel with hinges at the bottom that can transform into a small desk. Basically something the player can investigate.

@DefenceForceOrg Totally, a bureau is specifically the furniture that opens into an organised desk. The entertainment bit was purely if you needed to be specific.

@DefenceForceOrg I'd personally call this an 'Entertainment Bureau'. As in its like writing bureau, but geared for business & pleasure.
