thinking abt this again, but another layer to this is about any writing abt durge is written by gortash. specifically he was planning to publish and translate some of their letters to each other for the public. durge’s name wouldn’t be forgotten then :’)

while i know its for gameplay reasons, i think theres smth sad abt durge never being referred by name in any past writing abt them. they are bhaal’s chosen, a bhaalspawn, orin’s sibling, etc. no one cares to write their name bc their only identity is being bhaal’s heir
