Proud to be Labour MP for somewhere in Kent. Role model = Alan Turing. More to do.

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.

Personally I think it’s rather refreshing to have PM who is constantly in the news for all the right reasons, a man who tries very hard, you cannot deny he is very trying. ❤️

I would like to extend my thanks to the police, the security services, and everyone involved in keeping Britain safe. People will be worried after today's arrests, especially those in our Jewish community. Our world-leading security services will not hesitate to protect you. There are some who will use moments like this to divide people. It is vital that we now come together as a nation, united in our common purpose.

I promised to bring bills down and I meant it. And today, because of the decisions this Labour government has made, the energy price cap has lowered by £117.

Whatever is going on in the turmoil of politics, I know that for you and for millions of people, what matters is the cost of living. That's why we are taking urgent steps to tackle it head on. Freezing rail fares, rolling out free breakfast clubs and free school meals, boosting the National Living Wage and easing energy bills. Putting more money in people’s pockets. That’s my government’s focus.

I can not think of any single leader in Labour or outside of Labour who would do a better job than Starmer. To change would be madness. Yes mistakes have been made but enough has not been made off the successes. Int rates down, inflation down, wages up, gilts rates down, highest employment rise, trade deals won real ones, Trump been handled well, ftse at all time high, productivity rising, record number of immigrant returns, total immigration massive falls, hospital waiting lists falling, appointments up, nhs investment at a high. Why risk all this for no one better. Mad!

Today and EVERY day in British schools there are literally thousands of children seeing toast for the first time thanks to @Keir_Starmer They're enjoying their first experience of EVER opening a box of Rice Crispies thanks to @Keir_Starmer They're seeing milk, margerine, plates, spoons and cereal bowls for the first time EVER thanks to @Keir_Starmer It's absolutely fantastic. How on Earth have families in this country survived for millions of years without the help of @keirstarmer providing them with a state sponsored brekky? I salute you @Keir_Starmer Without you, millions of kids wouldn't even have known that breakfast even existed. Long live Keir.

Really positive to see @Keir_Starmer’s approval ratings continue to climb. We are fortunate to have such a firm, fair & decisive man at the helm whose vision is driving positive change. More to do, but the nation is heading in the right direction.

FYI, the S&P Global UK Construction PMI rebounded to 46.4 in January, up sharply from December's post-Covid low of 40.1. This is still weak - and the housebuilding index was just 39.3 - but at least the sector is no longer in free fall! source and more: pmi.spglobal.com/Public/Home/Pr…

I love this country. It is the greatest country in the world. We are tolerant, decent and respectful – and unity is our strength. But for too long, proud communities have been failed by politics and left powerless to do anything about it. Our Pride in Place programme changes that. We are giving people the power to build up their communities. We’ve already invested thousands into communities across Britain. Now, we are giving thousands more the opportunity to transform their local area. Putting local people in control and building a Britain that works for all.
