Brothers and Sisters in Arms, along with other activists, set up a display this morning on the Tel Aviv shorefront across from the US Embassy, that reads: NO PARDON Referring to Netanyahu’s illegal pardon demand which President Trump has been promoting. The goal of this display is to call on President Trump to cease his actions regarding indicted Prime Minister Netanyahu’s illegal demand to have his criminal trial dismissed. According to the activists, this demand is not only outrageous, but also immoral, particularly during this time of war on the frontlines and the homefront. Netanyahu is the one who kept talking about Iran, more so than anyone else. He’s also the one who ‘did the right thing’, least of anyone else. He complicated our situation more than anyone by pushing to withdraw from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), which brought Iran closer to a nuclear bomb. Now, he has the audacity to try and sell the Israeli public on the idea that he will be the one to solve this problem, which he himself created. The citizens rushing to bomb shelters will certainly take solace knowing that Netanyahu’s main focus is evading his trial, while running this war.

Thank you, President Trump, for exposing Netanyahu’s true main goal in his war with Iran – Evading his own criminal trial. And thank you, Defense Minister Katz, for divulging to us that Netanyahu was planning to attack Iran no matter what, ahead of Israel’s scheduled general election. Thank you for also exposing the illogical goal that he set. You, too, have joined the illegal “Pardon Bibi” campaign, which Netanyahu is promoting. Since the moment this war began, Netanyahu has ramped up his criminal ‘Pardon’ campaign. This is where his focus lies, as he sends air force pilots to Iran, as he sends our soldiers to Lebanon, as he forces Israeli citizens to rush to bomb shelters. A ‘Pardon’ is the primary consideration of the man running this war. “Pardon, pardon, pardon!”, “How do I get myself out of my criminal trial, which will likely end with a conviction and jail sentence?” This isn’t even a ‘pardon request’, it is a criminal and illegal attempt to cancel his trial entirely. And what does Israel’s President Herzog do? He’s “Considering it”. Instead of immediately rejecting this illegal attempt to cancel a criminal trial, instead of immediately rejecting the gross overstep committed by the US by interfering in Israel’s internal affairs - President Herzog is “considering it”. No surprise there. We all heard Herzog’s close associate say that he was sent to pass messages between Herzog and Netanyahu. Meaning there could be a corrupt deal: The Presidency in exchange for a pardon. This is something that at a minimum must be investigated. And there you have it, Herzog is “considering it”. This is what a disgrace of a President looks like. On top of that, one of Netanyahu’s ministers – Idit Silman, tweeted at President Trump asking that he place sanctions on senior members of Israel’s Justice System, in order to get Netanyahu’s illegal criminal ‘pardon’ granted. Ok, so, this is what betraying your own people looks like. And I must ask… do any of you think she came up with this on her own? So, yes, Netanyahu runs the country, and this war, like he’s a crime lord in the mob. Everyone is his pawn. Our brave fighter pilots, our brave combat soldiers, our resilient citizens, everyone is a pawn in his war with Iran, which is his personal fight of survival in power. What is astounding, is that the Opposition and the media still grant Netanyahu the legitimacy to run this war. How can the person whose policies brought upon us the Oct 7 massacre, who refuses to take any responsibility, who forcefully prevents every investigation to reveal the truth, who continues even now to advance his dictatorial regime coup, who initiated war for his own personal interests of receiving a ‘pardon’, and influencing the upcoming elections – How can he continue to receive legitimacy from the Opposition and the media to run this war? How can he continue to receive the legitimacy to send soldiers into battle? ---

Under the tutelage of Netanyahu and his poison machine, we have seen a dangerous rise in violent speech in Israeli society. Their latest target is Arab-Israeli journalist, Lucy Aharish, who holds a senior position in Israel’s mainstream media. Lucy has been a vocal critic of Netanyahu and his regime. She is a well-respected and valued member of the press, a successful Arab woman who speaks her mind, and is married to an Israeli Jewish actor and musician. For several weeks Lucy and her family have been the targets of relentless hate and violent threats, made by right-wing thugs, some of whom are convicted criminals, embraced by Netanyahu’s government ministers. Last night, for the fourth time in recent days, this criminal element along with citizens who have bought into the incitement against Lucy, showed up outside her home to intimidate her, under the false guise of a ‘protest’. On one occasion, the thugs entered her building and lurked outside her door. The attached video was filmed outside Lucy’s family home. It is just one audio bit of the many extremely racist, threatening, disturbing things that are being shouted at Lucy and her family. “You are Hitler's offspring! You piece of trash!”, “We are here to send you a message. This is the 4th time, and it won’t stop, Inshallah!”, “Inshallah, you get cardiac arrest!”, “Let the IDF screw the Arabs!” All of this is coming from Netanyahu. They are his messengers. Netanyahu himself remains silent, but he stands behind the thugs his regime uses. The writing is on the wall. The incitement has once again crossed all red lines. Unless it is immediately stopped, the threats will escalate into violence, and blood will be shed. We cannot let that happen. It is unforgivable that Israel's government is not providing sufficient care for the survivors and heroes who lived through unfathomable torture in Hamas captivity. It is shameful that the public must step in and fulfil the government's most basic responsibility to its citizens — yet, how fortunate we are to have such an incredible people. But the campaign for David Cunio, Ariel’s brother, has so far not reached its goal, and stands at 59%. On Oct 7th, David was abducted by murderous Hamas terrorists. His wife, Sharon, and their twin three-year-old girls, Emma and Julie, were brutally abducted too. During their abduction, Emma was separated from her mother Sharon, who was unconscious at the time. Emma was only returned to her parents in Hamas captivity two weeks later. The Three-year-old was ripped from her family, held alone in captivity, for 2 weeks, which to her must have felt like eternity. When she was returned, she was very thin and suffered from rashes, and clear neglect. At first, she did not recognize her parents. You can hardly breathe hearing about this cruelty. Sharon and the twins were released in the first hostage deal. David however, remained behind, captive in the hands of monsters. David returned to his family’s embrace two years later. Two full years of agony, terror, constant fear, starvation, physical and psychological torture, countless sabotaged and failed hostage deals, and complete abandonment by his government.
