@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM we invented the words 2 and 4. we invented the concept of addition. we invented quantifying things at all. if any other species replaced humans and had to reinvent everything from scratch, who knows, they could come up with a whole new number system all together.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM The why is because of the brain generating feelings of guilt and remorse. That is the explanation. What more could you possibly want? It's wrong because of how your brain reacts to it. And yes, people and lions are different.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM Yes humans did in fact identify and name and create how we group things and count things. We invented the concept of numbers. There is nature and there is human invention. Math is not nature. We invented math.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM So you're telling me that I have to actively believe in a magic invisible Sky Wizard who's a zombie that was talked about in a book full of monsters and talking animals if I'm to have any level of understanding of right and wrong? I'm sorry but no. That's bullshit.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM What do you mean "rocks illustrate it"? Are you talking about how erosion and continental shifting alters the compound of sediments that go into forming land masses? Because that's literally just a matter of physics and geology, not divine intervention.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM If you raise a child with the idea that murder is wrong, but then you never ever introduce the concept of God to them, they will still understand that murder is wrong because their parents told them. You don't need to have religion introduced to you to know right from wrong.

@OrthoFrodo @scienceisstupid @sola_chad If you mean to say "information can't come from nothing", I agree, and as I said earlier, I'm not a naturalist or materialist; I believe in a soul. And as for infinite regress, I believe in it. I'm not sure why you'd disagree against it but argue for an infinitely existing god.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM The reason it doesn't shift is because physical objects are finite. If you have one rock and then you put another rock next to it, you now have two rocks. Nothing about that will ever change because that is how basic addition works. This concept is not divinely appointed.

@BBlorp82897 @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM No God = No morality. I’m sorry if this is hard for you people to understand/accept. If everything is fundamentally molecules in motion, it would be asinine to deem any action by man as right or wrong if his actions are mere predetermined effects of physics.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM Well the process of evolving perspectives and moral compasses is Humanity's attempt to try and find stuff that as many people as possible can agree on, but that doesn't necessarily mean that there is an underlying correct answer that is beyond us.

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM Why do you need that explained to you? Do you not understand how basic addition works? If you add one thing to another thing, there are now two things. If you add two more things to that, you get four things. Are you unable to understand the concept of addition?

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM But that's like the entirety of human history. Knowledge and morality and what we understand as being true is under constant change and evolution from one time period to the next, and from one culture or civilization to the next. Nothing is consistent.

@BBlorp82897 @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM Truth itself proves God. Truth requires a foundation beyond human minds – if they were purely subjective, they would change with individual or societal belief. Only a transcendent, necessary being can ground objective truth

@OrthoFrodo @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM It's either Freedom or it's not. You're trying to come up with this weird convoluted middle ground that still ends up forcing it into a binary of one or the other. You either have free will entirely independent of God's plan or you don't. It is black or white for this.

@BBlorp82897 @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM God’s plan absolutely exists—it’s His providence that sustains all creation and guides it toward goodness and theosis (union with Him), while fully respecting the genuine free will He gave us as part of His image.

@BBlorp82897 @Dysthyman_1948 @Adam_FaithfulM Gods overarching plan works through synergy: He provides grace and opportunities, and we freely cooperate (or not). This isn’t a loss of sovereignty; it’s the power of a God so great that He can create real freedom without compromising His ultimate purpose.
