I criss-crossed the borough for #RemembranceSunday - I saw folk in Fobbing, Grays and Chafford keep the memories of hero’s alive. The mayors office has supported 14 such events. Thanks to the cadets, churches, and many community groups who maintain this united & patriotic society

Under our partnership work with @SaferEssexRoads, we've teamed up with travelling drama company The Riot Act, who deliver plays to secondary schools about vital road safety messages. So far, they've visited Year 7's at @theHARIacademy @OrtuGableHall @thames_park & @williameds_sch

Wishing Jo Williams well as she leaves @OrtuHassenbrook - she has been a great head and taken that school out of the doldrums. It looks and feels like a good school! Well done Jo. I’m sure the rest of the Ortu family will help Hassenbrook continue! @OrtuGableHall @OrtuCPS

Starting on Monday 16th November, we will be running the Reverse Advent Calendar for donations for Thurrock Food Bank to help those less fortunate that are struggling at Christmas time. This campaign will run until Monday 14th December.

On our @MADE_course with yr 9 students we focused today on #Leadership - what it means, how to lead well & discovering your strengths. Our visit was to local print supply business @BluprintUK, who got our students to process an order - & see who made the most profit! #MADEunique
