Meet Orwell Corner’s two newest staff members! Matthew and his sister, Marilla were born on Tuesday, April 16th. Both are happy and healthy and will be playfully greeting visitors and school groups at Orwell for the 2019 season!

Spring has finally arrived and our four legged colleagues are enjoying the sunshine. Won’t be long now before the rest of our two legged staff are joining them to educate and delight local visitors and those from around the globe!

Calypso and Azalea are both expecting again! It will be very nice to have more kids running around the site in the spring!

The gang is all happy at the corner. Nothing better than sunshine, warmth and freshly delivered hay!

Summer memories to bring hope for warmer and less blustery days to come. Only 2 months until we start hosting school groups in the 2019 season and only 3 until we open to the public! The end is in sight!

Think we could all use a bit of a thickened coat to get through these chilly times! Even Agnes and Una, our Highlands are looking forward to warmer days!

We could learn a great deal from farm animals. They live together, sharing resources, interacting peacefully and often playfully. In spite of their differences, they exist as though they are all the same

It is beginning to look like spring around the Corner. Let’s hope for a merciful February and March so we can be all set to go for early May!

An 1895 village worries less about power outages than most Islanders. Still, a delivery of the equivalent to “storm chips” for our four legged colleagues is always great for staff moral! Stay safe this weekend everyone!
