One of the aspects of the SNP campaign that sounds particularly off-key is the constant criticism of “Westminster”. Stephen Flynn is particularly keen on this, with his declarations that Westminster does not reflect Scottish values. I see Swinney is doing this now as well. What it ignores, and the world and his dog can see with complete clarity, is that the nature of “Westminster” is about to undergo a bit of a fundamental overhaul. Does the SNP hope we haven’t noticed?
