And if after searching up and down, you can provide ONLY Tinubu as your best player, then these are very dark times indeed for the Yoruba race. Incredibly dire times.
Zykson@Oni_Okun

He’s failing badly on security, and I’ve never stopped saying that. I’ve nothing against people pointing it out. But should that now make me support people I’m even more convinced (I may be wrong) would do worse? That would be crazy. You can’t bench your best player because they struggled against a tough opponent and replace them with someone still struggling even in training, simply because you hope they might somehow do better. There’s barely any logic in that. There's even a space for chance here. If your best student is struggling in external exams, your solution isn’t to replace them with weaker students in the class. Maybe the syllabus needs improvement, and the student also needs to prepare harder. Replacing them with subpar classmates won’t magically solve anything, and supporting such a change just to send a message is foolish. And look around: does security even seem like a winning issue in Nigerian politics today? Can’t we see how even the opposition tiptoes around it? It’s worse when you’re directly affected. Still, one silver lining in the sad events of the last two days is that more people including supporters of the president may finally start speaking up. Supporting him shouldn’t stop anyone from calling out failures. Especially if you're convinced he's the best man for the job. The expectations should make one demand better not ignore reality.

Yawota has only 2 victims with ages in double digits. Every one else is 2-8 years old. Again I ask, what is the breaking point?

To behead a person clean off, you need a guillotine or a really really sharp sword. Not a cutlass. They didn’t just behead that man. They hacked him to death in the worst way possible.

“The macro will eventually trickle down to the micro” Ask them, are Nigerians even gonna stay alive until then (if that even ever happens)? Kids are somewhere out in the wild with terrorists 💔

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s. Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph. You too can connect the dots: 1000reasons.vote/looters

@patryusha It was such a big deal that it spurred a anti-bullying session in my primary school because we wouldn’t stop calling each other sheppopotamuses, but Wole was telling Obidients that they don’t know how to “entertain corrective criticism.” They will be fine.

Nigeria now appears to have a remarkably successful decentralised kidnapping industry; an institutionalised kidnap-for-ransom economy so normalised you might as well start one in your backyard. Hard to imagine the extent of the breakdown in law and order it took to achieve this.
