We parameterized the CPM using our recent estimates of cell-cell interactions within the neuromast using our new method of Mechanical Stress Inference ForSys! doi.org/10.1016/j.isci… Interestingly, these interactions allow the integrity of the organ to be maintained. (5/9)

Neuromasts are known to have a remarkable regenerative capacity! Hernán's lab has previously shown that after laser ablation of up to 90% of a neuromast, sustentacular & mantle cells undergo an ordered proliferation-dependent regenerative response. elifesciences.org/articles/30823 (3/9)
