Comparison of the model simulations with experiments on regenerating neuromasts previously subjected to laser ablation suggests that our hypothetical proliferation switches are a robust mechanism of regeneration control. (8/9)

Our results show that the tissue-wide regenerative response of the neuromast is consistent with a delayed proliferation switch modulated by the the number of neighbors. (6/9)

We parameterized the CPM using our recent estimates of cell-cell interactions within the neuromast using our new method of Mechanical Stress Inference ForSys! doi.org/10.1016/j.isci… Interestingly, these interactions allow the integrity of the organ to be maintained. (5/9)
