@SomiaOT Sadly we see women traumatised by this and the failure and inadequacy they feel when they struggle to breast feed. I look forward to hearing your ideas when you are back! Welcome to your little one!

Meant to be on maternity leave but already thinking about how my role as an OT can potentially plug this huge gap within feeding support!

After 4 weeks of battling to be heard by numerous staff within the NHS we went privately and finally got my sons tongue tie sorted for the SECOND time. I can’t help but feel so disheartened by the care or lack of care he’s received

A combination of nervousness and excitement about #RCOT2023 today. Really looking forward to a fabulous programme about OT practice. I'm presenting my research at the end of the day about perinatal OTs working with ethnic minority parents so a bit anxious too!

I am sure I booked on for the @theRCOT perinatal forum infant feeding session on Wed but it is not showing in my events and bookings are closed. Really hope it will be recorded as it is such an important topic. So disappointed.#perinatal

@Keirwales I wasn't disappointed! Inspirationa. My greatest teacher had BPD. She taught me to be curious so I could understand the why, to listen, and validate her distress and to appreciate the environmental impact. Game changer! @theRCOT
