So I’m finally reading The Blue Castle for the first time and I have the highest of expectations. Don’t do me dirty, Lucy Maud.

@RatatoskrD @RevDaniel I get what you mean and it IS sick they have a CGI bee flying around as a symbol of the family when it assassinated their dad, but bee sting allergies CAN do that.

@RevDaniel Because an inconsequential wound needs to be tenderly bandaged so there’s an excuse for touching! Mortal peril is for being run over by balloons!

Wow extremely dramatic ending to my writing retreat. A baby bird fell into the pool attached to the Villa. We have fished it out

@QTheology Bigotry does amusebouches. Unnecessarily fussy and leave you hungry. Inclusive, healing support in faith & love does slamming down 1.66 litres of ice cream and handing your pal a second spoon to finish the whole thing between you. Simple and messy but deeply satisfying.

People will say the wildest, most queer and transphobic, mean shit to us over email, DM, and comments and then end it with “God bless you like” it’s some sort of bigotry amusebouche

I actually feel really sad that The Body Shop is closing. I wasn't a regular customer, but an old friend is; and going there for some new little soaps/lotions was such a treat for her when she has a lot to struggle with in her life. It's going to leave an empty space, for her.

@oliveridley It’s very important that everyone in the vicinity know he’s a dickhead. Good on him for the PSA.

The most doggedly positive people seem like they are standing out there in Everything, covered in cuts and bruises, & SOMEHOW STILL NOT FLINCHING. I am in awe of those people. It takes such effort for me to let go enough of my fear & anger to just appreciate what is still good.

It’s fine to be a little Pollyanna, actually, okay? Do you know how HARD it is to actually give the majority of your focus purely to what is good, without reserve or kneejerk cynicism? I struggle every day to open my heart to positive possibilities.

Apparently the best thing you can do for your skin, all other things being equal, is to eat three fistful of almonds a day. I hate almonds so I will not be doing that, but if you enjoy crunching your way through that many nuts, you should do it every day
Cora Harrington@CoraCHarrington

I want to learn something. Share one interesting fact you know. I’ll start. We were able to get an idea of when humans first began wearing clothes - which was 10s of 1000s of years earlier than the oldest clothing we’ve found - because of when body lice diverged from head lice.
