Our hearts break for this latest discovery. These cannot be called residential schools. Schools are places we send our children to be educated, respected and cared for. 1/2

Take the time to educate yourselves. Listen to and learn from Indigenous communities. We hope that thousands of families will finally get the heartbreaking closure that they deserve to mourn the lives of the children that never came home.

CW: violence against children, genocide & residential "schools." We were honoured to attend today's sunrise ceremony in honour of the lives of Indigenous children lost to residential "schools." The news from the past few weeks is heartbreaking, but not surprising.

These times are challenging for so many members of our diverse communities But there are supports If you or a loved one need help, there are crisis lines available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
