I packed my car in front of a shop and the lady came out and harassed me about blocking her shop. I still left my car parked there because nobody will make me do otherwise. Do you expect me to carry my car on my head? When I returned, I needed drinks. The shop sells drinks. I intentionally walked to the next shop and bought drinks to the tune of ₦40,000. I made sure she noticed. Feel free to call me petty. 🥰

Since WhatsApp brought this reshare update, my roommate hardly makes her own posts again. She does not post about her day or anything personal. All she does is reshare posts like funny memes, random videos, jokes or write-ups… Everything is just reshare after reshare, she doesn't post directly. And she is very good at finding funny content. Sometimes when I want to laugh, I go straight to her status because somehow she always finds the funniest memes online. So a few days ago, she told me she was having issues with one of her close friends. I know the girl too and even have her contact. She explained the misunderstanding to me and I just told her not to worry, that they would settle it with time, because it's just a normal girl-girl issue. And she agreed. Okay! Today, I was on my phone when I saw one very funny meme on the status of that same girl she was having issues with. I read it and laughed hard. My roommate asked me what I was laughing at, so I read it out to her. She laughed too and asked who posted it. I told her to check her friend’s status because she was the one that posted it. Immediately, she carried her phone because those are exactly the kind of things she likes reposting. After checking for a few seconds, she said there was no update from the girl’s side. I told her the post was still fresh and maybe her network was delaying it. She checked again and said there was still nothing. That was when both of us realized the girl had blocked her from viewing her status. I told her maybe she blocked her because of the issue they were having. Then I offered to just save the meme and send it to her so she could repost it since I already knew she would want to. But she said no. That the girl had to unblock her first. Ahhhh! Before I could even say anything, she already called the girl. She told her she noticed she had been blocked from seeing her status. And the girl admitted it. My roommate now started pleading with her to unblock her. I was just there looking at her in shock. After some back and forth, the girl finally unblocked her. A few minutes later, the same girl posted another status. But this time, it was not a meme. She wrote: “Don’t lose good people thinking there are many fishes in the pond. You might not catch a good fish again.” Immediately I saw it, I knew the post was directed at my roommate after their phone call, but I just kept quiet. Okay o! Only for me to move to the next status and see that my roommate had already reshared the exact post. And she even added her own caption under it: “Fact.” Eeehhh?! I asked her, “Wait, is this not the same post your friend just made?” She said yes. I asked her if she didn’t think the girl posted it because of the issue both of them were having. She just looked at me and said: “All I know is that if I like a post, I repost it. Wetin the person mean with am no really concern me, I only care for my entertainment.” Whatttt?!!! 😂😂😂 Chinecherem Onu

Let me repeat. If you're dating a girl that says she doesn't like to cook or doesn't wish to cook, get another lady to come cook for you, and tell your girlfriend about it. If she really wants to be with you, she'll sit up & change. Otherwise, tell her to go to blazes. End.

“So yesterday night, I saw my picture on my husband's phone screen as the screensaver and I was like “awwwwwnn! You’re so romantic” and gave him a peck. I asked him why he is using my picture as his screensaver thing that he will say that is because he loves me so much, but he said. " I’m using your picture as my screensaver because anytime I come across any problem that I think I will not survive it, I always look at you on my screen and get motivation by saying to myself; “Which problem is bigger than this one on my phone screen? If I can be managing this problem then there is no problem in this world that I cannot manage. I mean no problem in the entire world can be bigger than this." That is what my darling husband told me. I am confused. I don't know what to do or say again.

This is how one of my guys bought a phone for his girlfriend, and she rejected the phone right away. He bought the Android phone to surprise her because the one her daddy bought for her was already malfunctioning. It hangs a lot. This lady told my guy that her friends’ boyfriends were buying iPhones for their girls, he looked her finish, and he bought an Android phone for her. Android phone of ₦300,000. My guy no talk anything. Since he had a spare key to the house he rented for her, he went there and picked every single thing he bought for her. When she came to my place to beg me so I could talk to him, she came with her head tied because she no see any wig to wear again. My friend packed everything. E sweet me d!ee.

I used to think my dad just had a weird habit. Every night, no matter how late it was, he’d check if I was asleep. Like actually come into my room, stand there for a second, then leave. I remember pretending to sleep sometimes just to see how long he’d stay. Sometimes he’d fix my blanket, sometimes he’d just sigh and walk out. As I got older, I thought it was kinda annoying. Like… why are you still doing that? One night I finally asked him. He just shrugged and said, “Just checking.” Years later, my mom told me the real reason. When I was a baby, I got really sick out of nowhere. Stopped breathing in my sleep. They barely made it to the hospital in time. After that, he never fully trusted “quiet.” So every night, for years… he just needed to see my chest rise at least once before he could relax. 🥹

I dyed my hair blue so my manager would stop blaming me for hair in customers’ food. I used to work at a sandwich shop where most of the staff had long dark hair. Mine was different—shorter, brown, always tied up, and I was the only one who consistently wore a hair net. Still, every time a customer complained about finding a long dark hair in their food, my manager blamed me immediately. No questions. No checking. Just me. So I dyed my hair bright blue. A few days later, it happened again. Customer complains. Manager turns to blame me. And for once, I got to smile and say: ‘Can’t be mine. My hair’s blue.’

My friend has been having serious issues at home because he refused to take a loan for his wife’s younger sister’s wedding. Her family had a meeting and shared responsibilities. Every son-in-law was assigned ₦300,000 each for the wedding. Meanwhile, the girl has two older brothers who are working and doing well. He told his wife calmly: “I’m not saying I won’t support it, but I can’t go and borrow money for something that isn’t my direct responsibility.” That didn’t go down well. She said he was embarrassing her. “That’s my only sister. What will my family think?” He stood his ground: “I’ll give what I can afford, but I won’t go into debt to meet a fixed contribution.” She reported him to her family. They called him. At first, it was calm. Then the tone changed. “So you can’t support your wife’s family?” “Other men are doing it without complaining.” He replied: “I’m not refusing to support. I’m refusing to be forced into a specific amount, especially one I have to borrow.” That was where everything scattered. They said he lacked respect. Told him to forget about contributing entirely. At home, things got worse. His wife stopped talking to him. Cold replies. Silence. Tension. The same support he was willing to give freely… turned into a problem because it wasn’t on their terms. Now the house is divided. And he’s the one being painted as the bad person for choosing financial sense over pressure.

She came to my shop yesterday to dodge for rain without even greeting when the rain was about to stop she wanted to be going not until the rain was still draining. Our eyes eventually caught each other but I just stood my ground not to offer her a sit just because she doesn't know how to utter a greeting.
