Here's my eulogy to Hulk Hogan. I apologize in advance to all the wrestlers who follow me. Hogan is a textbook example of American mediocrity. Despite being a racist, sycophantic, backstabbing grifter, almost every match he's ever had was a flat one-star snoozefest. He was so wack between the ropes that his finisher was a leg drop. A fucking leg drop. Hogan was positively identified for ratting out the locker room to the bosses when wrestlers tried to unionize. He engaged in aggressive backstage politics to suppress talent and protect his position. Hogan refused to put wrestlers over even though they out-worked and out-performed him every night. He never wanted to make anyone else look good and he always wanted a lion's share of the pay. He had one of the most inflated and most undeserved egos in entertainment, and all his movies sucked. Hogan relied on the same schtick for decades and failed to adapt to a changing audience before becoming a MAGA influencer in his final days. RIP Iron Sheik

For 20 months, I’ve seen Israel carry out the worst horrors and heard people defend it with FAFO. Brazen genocidal language coupled with actual genocidal atrocities and the total destruction of Gaza. The gaslighting from official Israeli accounts over the last 48 hours is mind blowing. It’s like they live on a different planet or think that the rest of us do. While continuing its genocide against Palestinians, Israel launched an unprovoked attack on Iran to sabotage talks with the U.S., killed civilians, destroyed residential buildings and assassinated scientists, all in violation of international law. Seeing their ridiculous attempt to turn all of this around into “self-defense” (they also call genocide self-defense) really makes you feel like you’re going crazy. But, of course, that’s the point of gaslighting.

You see the October 7th film on an IDF base. The IDF soldiers that sit with you consider it a solemn duty. It clearly affected ours seeing this same horror over and over as part of her job. Greta would not have watched it with an ounce of respect for the horror or the sacrifice. Thankful this garbage human said no so someone serving their country didn’t have to witness the entitlement.
