Today, we remember the 11 lives lost during Shabbat services at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. May their memories be a blessing& guide us in building bridges of understanding for our community& the wider world and strengthen our unity in facing antisemitism everywhere.

שנה לטבח הנורא בבית הכנסת "עץ החיים" בפיטסבורג, ארה"ב, בו נרצחו 11 בני אדם. יריות החרישו את המקום בזמן שמתפללים ואורחים הגיעו לבית הכנסת הקהילתי שאיחד את התושבים. כל יהודי שליבו פועם בו, עצר לרגע עם היוודע הבשורה, והרגיש שהכאב הגדול הוא סימן לאחדות גורל של העם היהודי

It’s been a year since the horrific massacre at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, where 11 people were cruelly murdered. Shots were fired as worshippers and guests arrived at the community synagogue that united the residents.

As the Israelites sat in the Sukkot, we invite all the Jewish people to gather under the roof which is the scroll and to define our common destiny. Happy Sukkot!

So we no longer have to ask each other for forgiveness, we’ve embarked on an effort to create a new sense of unity for the Jewish people. We’ve met & learned about each other, resulting in greater tolerance for those around us. May you be signed & sealed in the book of life.
