KTM 1390 Super Adventure R update: 3D scan complete, next step is to design our upper crash bars and skid plate around the factory lower crash bars. . The pannier racks and the rear luggage rack are the same as the 1290 Super Adventure R ones.

Is the Kove 450 a rally base or a dualsport overland base? For us at Outback Motortek it’s served us a light and fun overland bike.

@Al42401Albert @OutbackMototek I had a 1290 SAR before-I find the 390 R a much more enjoyable bike-for me and our riding conditions. But better-and younger-riders might master the Beast.

Still think the bmw 450gs is a better buy. Lighter and more hp.

@galtback6 @VolaViola That’s good to hear. We got one of the first ones and it had issues, which by the sound of it KTM has fixed

Just picked up one a few days ago. The stalling issue is gone, low-end torque is fine for what it is (much stronger down low than the old 390) and the kickstand redesigned. I'm loving it so far. The Kove is amazing from a weight standpoint-but honestly, I'm not good enough to deal with the seat height. If they come out with more of an "ADV" version than "Rally"-maybe. Not the dealer network yet to be that appealing, but the bikes themselves look great. I strongly question long-term durability when they are so much lighter than everyone else in the industry though.
