The failure of the @spfl to enforce the rules and allow Celtic to abandon the game which is what took place yesterday undermines the whole game for all football fans. There's no doubt that the game had not finished and had 30 secs plus to run.
English

so the ref ended the game, why did no one know this until 24 hours later ?
That’s a bit strange, usually everyone in the stadium knows at the same time, but it seems only the ref knew

@transferscot 'The 4th official was holding the referee's watch'

@Masterton9 @spfl Celtic fans- we are blessed.
Once to win the silverware. - we celebrate.
Then the mechanics proving it- we celebrate.
English

@Masterton9 @spfl O'Neill spoke to the 4th official, not the man who matters.
You'd be right if you weren't a sectarian hurting bellend.
English

The @spfl Were always going to double down and say the match was complete, but they’re basically says Martin O’Neil is a liar.
English

@gaz49ers @AUSFUTNews Come on Gary 'darkest parts' and all that no??
English

@Outerpeace3 @AUSFUTNews If we do research into the past of football clubs, celtic have one of the darkest parts. Victim FC now & forever.
English

From an Australian football perspective, this Celtic/Hearts situation matters even more with Aussie involvement at Hearts. 🇦🇺🏴
If the reports are accurate and the match abandonment stemmed from Celtic supporter actions, then Scottish football authorities should apply the rules exactly as written. No grey area, no special treatment.
Rules are there to protect the integrity of the competition, and if responsibility lies with one side’s supporters, the outcome should reflect that. That would mean Hearts of Midlothian being awarded the result.
With Australian eyes closely following our players abroad, consistency and accountability in major leagues matter. The badge involved shouldn’t change how regulations are enforced.

English

@gaz49ers @AUSFUTNews If a child is hurt Gary, do we agree with the idea that WHOEVER done it has to be dealt with on the street or in the jail?
Now that you own this space?
English

There's no doubt Celtic fans invaded the pitch before the game had finished. The rules are clear Celtic must forfeit the cup Hearts won. The clock was still ticking another 30 secs plus injury time. If you cheat you lose. @ScottishFA

@rooomac @AUSFUTNews As I must- it's to let people like YOU know that my beloved CELTIC FC have once again EMBARRASSED every single one of you idiots in your country and pissed all over your sectarian subculture.
UP THE FUCKIN@ RA
English

@Outerpeace3 @AUSFUTNews Start with you being ambulance chasing bigoted leftard furkwits that couldn't even point out Palestine on a map and then follow that up with the corrupt authorities in Scottish football and officials too scared to do their jobs
English

@zimmerman_72 Love the attitude Boaby- how we settling with Celtic being the establishment team? - yer dad would have loved it eh?
English

@ColonySco @CelticFC We'd better just start winning it early again, these clowns can't take a joke.
English

@realshocks @AUSFUTNews Worldwide outrage- only some see the pattern of what mechanisms could be behind it.
English

@LeRef5 @BuntingsWorld @ScottishFA Maybe you should listen to the Gooner- because you are making laws up here.
If the time runs to zero it means the ref can use his discretion- THAT is the law.
Also, there’s no rule saying Rangers and Hearts fans MUST hear the final whistle for all SPL matches.
English

@Outerpeace3 @BuntingsWorld @ScottishFA Yes. it's the laws of the game. And time for VAR assessments is added.
English

Hey @ScottishFA As I recall the laws of the game, play must be restarted after a goal from open play. And your own guidance is that if a game cannot be completed because of a pitch invasion, the referee must suspend or abandon the game. Neither of these happened at Celtic Park today - and we also had players assaulted.
What are you planning to do about this.
English

@Masterton9 Get your stopwatch fixed- the goal went in exactly 97.30, then VAR has to look at replays for infringements in the build up.- ref can only wait for that confirmation, anything over 30 seconds on that, he can use his discretion to decide it's done.
English

@ColonySco No VAR check for passage of play immediately before the goal then?
English

@BroBonds88416 @CalumCrowe10 VAR has to check passage of play video for all goals incase of infringement in the build up, no?
Then, all players have to be their own side of the pitch before a referee can restart.
I'd think the average time taken on that is more than literally 30 seconds after a goal.
English

@CalumCrowe10 They have their manager admitting on record there was still time to play. Even their biggest bigoted mouthpiece Sutton is on record saying the fans need to get off the park as there is still time to play. The key FACT IS THERE WAS STILL TIME TO PLAY IN THE MATCH. END OF...🤔🤞
English

"As Celtic made clear prior to the recent Old Firm match with Rangers, they are responsible for the policing arrangements inside their own stadium. When they cannot guarantee the safety of players on the field, they don’t have a leg to stand on. Shameful."

@ja42413076 What's the average time taken in the SPL to do a required VAR check of build up play for all goals?
