𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 | 𝟯𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗠 Outlanders, we are thrilled to share the news that four editions of @eyecheng's 3FACE—one from each natural drive family—have been acquired by New York's @whitneymuseum.

It is a huge honor to have 3FACE included in the @whitneymuseum collection. 🙏🙏🙏Yes the institutional acknowledgment of digital art on the blockchain is great. But there's another story here too: the growing taste and appreciation for artworks that are the composition of engineered systems - and therefore capable of dynamic change and adaptation - which a digital medium substrate enables with greater ease and expressivity than ever before. Big thanks to @outland_art and @ChristianePaul2 for seeing where the puck is going. I hope this news inspires more artists to think, create, birth, systems; and more institutions to cultivate an appreciation of systems in its viewing public. 🐉🐉🐉I get it: Systems aren't sexy, they hurt to think about for too long, they can hide sloppy thinking behind the mask of complexity, and if they're working they should be invisible. But they also rule our lives inside and out so we better get used to putting our attention on them. Maybe art can help build some mental muscles and taste for systems. God knows we need better ones. 🌏🌍🌎
