Where they’re in power, Green councils are backing out of their housing pledges entirely. In Bristol, the Green administration pulled its affordable housing targets earlier this year.

The Greens oppose housebuilding. Since 2018, they’ve opposed at least 42,000 new homes - including 13,000 affordable homes - across the country.

Empty seats at Full Council tonight where Lambeth Green Party councillors should have been, before any debates or votes took place. When it mattered, they left the room. They abdicated their responsibility to the residents of Lambeth that they were elected to represent.

Good news for Londoners. The Freedom Pass is vital for older Londoners, helping them stay connected to friends and family. Labour councils have my full backing to protect it 👏🏾

As a Labour leader, I’m proud we blocked proposals that could have restricted the Freedom Pass. For 1.2 million older Londoners, it matters, supporting independence, connection and access to everyday life across Lewisham and London.

Lambeth Labour absolutely oppose any changes to the Freedom Pass scheme that would restrict its eligibility or reduce the range of transport services it can be used on. While the Liberal Democrats dismiss it as an 'expensive burden' - we are committed to keeping it. 👇
