Saw "Interstella 5555" in theaters last night. The AI upscaling or wtfe was straight up egregious. Many shots had this nasty smeared texture, it was tragic. Seeing it in theaters was really cool, and I was reminded what a unique masterpiece that movie is. But damn what a shame

@ERICRSC1 @Chilly_Tweets This happened to me too. I could not stop thinking aboul all the beautiful detailing that went lost with that smudgy ai filter. Went straight back home to search interstella5555 on youtube just to check the original. 😟 so much was missed in the remastered version

@Chilly_Tweets I’m split on the whole experience. On one hand, they really butchered the remaster with ai. However, seeing it and the other music videos on the big screen in a packed theater made it worth it
