Some people watch these videos and suddenly understand why the U.S. military doesn’t worry much about being outmatched.
Black Hawks cutting through dust.
F-22s screaming across the sky.
Equipment that looks like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie.
And then you remember something funny.
The people flying them are mostly in their early 20s.
Kids who were playing Call of Duty a few years ago.
Now they’re piloting aircraft worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
That’s America’s emergency contact.
When something goes wrong anywhere in the world…
That’s who gets the call.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command.
It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards.
Automated snapshots were gone too.
In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again.
