@theminihaha @RareIrishStuff There's just not enough business for it. Dozens of pubs still have early licenses but chose not to use it. There aren't as many night workers as before, and drinking habits have changed a lot

@JordanLzG Aside from people working at the post office and the government, I know no one in France that stops working at 5pm. In most tech companies people would joke that you’re taking the afternoon off….
A better joke would have been that Claude will be on strike a few times per year …

This is why I’ve never understood the desire for “realistic” superhero stories. A world with actual godlike metahumans wouldn’t just look like ours with capes, it would be completely unrecognizable.
For instance, gold would be effectively worthless in a universe where someone can literally poop it out.
