Since crypto people like to call every new moment a “Season” - here’s what I’m observing from the sidelines. We are entering “The White Whale Season” Now before you think that’s some incredibly inflated ego-driven statement, let me define. Most of crypto lacks innovation. Success leaves clues, and people attribute a massive success to whatever elements their minds are able to comprehend. “It must be the ‘no KOLs’ bit” “Ahh he’s using fees generated for buybacks” “He’s doing random airdrops to his community” “He established a treasury” “Creator-backed coins are the new meta” I’m seeing it pop up everywhere. Uninspired minds using what they believe are the ingredients for success in an attempt to replicate the recipe. And they will fail. They will fail because it’s not a handful of ingredients mashed together. It’s a combination of two entirely different things: Intent & Effort You can’t fake intent. I never intended to take something from virtually zero to hitting a 90m mcap in a month. I simply intended to provide good, responsible stewardship to a project that bears my name. To do it with integrity and for lack of personal gain. To prove this space could be better than it was before. People ask me all the time, “how far do you think it can go?” I have no idea. But I intend to fulfill my sacred oath. The second thing is effort. Everyone is chasing fast cash and dopamine hits. Few in this world are built for actually doing the hard work. I can tell you that in the last 30 days I’ve put in more hours and slept less than I have since I was the CEO of a large company I built from the ground up. For free. Because what I’m proving (that things can be different) matters. Most of the last year I worked four hour days and mostly took the weekends off. And made tons of money. Now I’m working 12-15 hour days, seven days a week. And the job has just started. So how do I feel about people shouting “me too!” using some of my ingredients? Honestly - if they are doing it authentically I’m happy to have spawned a little bit of change in this place. But sadly, as is in much of life, a lot of it is coming from a selfish place first. I know that when you put the needs of others first, karma has a funny way of taking care of you in the end. Focus on building value for others, not yourself.
