Yes, @MTNNG is engaging in what can only be described as daylight robbery and nighttime larceny against subscribers in Nigeria. It represents one of the worst forms of exploitative, scorched-earth business practices. #AACOURPARTY #TakeItBack #RevolutionNow #TINUBUMUSTGO

The case of @MTNNG very serious of case of fraud must be dealt with, @MTNNG is in the schemes of defrauding subscribers through bogus airtime and data charges. #AACOurParty #TakeItBack #RevolutionNow

@aonanuga1956 There is nothing like enemies of Nigeria. Its shuuld be enemies of an incompetemt, docile and unproductive government that watches his citizens been killed daily across the nation due to insecurity. Its a Total shame and this same bad government is already campaning for 2027.

@SegunShowunmi @mehdirhasan Thank God Daniel Bwala was disgraced on the international stage. The same fate will befall all the corrupt politicians who are too afraid to tell the administration the truth that they have failed Nigerians in the primary duty of government: protecting lives and property.

Hostility Is Not Journalism. Mehdi Hassan Take Note.
There is a clear difference between tough journalism and outright hostility. One serves the public interest. The other serves the ego of the interviewer. Unfortunately, the recent exchange between @mehdirhasan and presidential spokesperson @BwalaDaniel fell squarely into the latter category.
What viewers witnessed was not a serious interview. It was an attempted public ambush.
From the outset, the tone was aggressively confrontational. Questions were framed less as inquiries into governance and more as prosecutorial traps. Responses were repeatedly interrupted before they could develop. Clarifications were brushed aside. The atmosphere was unmistakable: this was not a conversation designed to inform viewers but a spectacle designed to embarrass the guest.
Serious journalism does not operate this way.
The craft of interviewing demands discipline. It requires the ability to ask difficult questions while still allowing the guest to articulate answers. It requires intellectual confidence strong enough to permit disagreement without descending into open hostility. Above all, it requires a commitment to substance over theatrics.
That commitment was glaringly absent.
Nigeria is currently grappling with a range of serious national challenges economic restructuring, security threats, governance reforms, and the complex work of stabilizing a large and dynamic democracy. A responsible interviewer would have used the opportunity to interrogate the administration’s policies on these matters: What strategies are being deployed? What reforms are underway? What outcomes should citizens expect?
Instead, viewers were treated to an exercise in selective outrage and repetitive interruption.
Even more troubling was the insinuation that political realignment is somehow illegitimate. Democratic politics is built on shifting alliances. Individuals and movements evolve. Former opponents become partners when national circumstances demand cooperation. This is neither shocking nor dishonorable; it is one of the defining characteristics of democratic political life.
History provides countless examples. Leaders across the world have entered alliances with former adversaries when the demands of governance required it. To pretend otherwise is either intellectual dishonesty or a deliberate attempt to create sensationalism where none exists.
But the deeper problem in the interview was tone.
A journalist who openly ridicules or repeatedly attempts to humiliate a guest crosses an important professional boundary. The role of the interviewer is to hold power accountable not to behave like a courtroom prosecutor seeking a viral “gotcha” moment. When the pursuit of humiliation replaces the pursuit of insight, journalism loses its credibility.
Audiences deserve better than that.
They deserve interviews that illuminate policy, probe governance, and help citizens understand how leaders intend to confront the pressing challenges of the day. What they do not need is a theatrical performance in which hostility is mistaken for intellectual rigor.
Respectful engagement does not weaken journalism; it strengthens it. Firm questioning does not require contempt. Professionalism does not require aggression.
If global media wishes to retain its claim to moral authority as a watchdog of democracy, it must remember a basic principle: the goal of journalism is to inform the public, not to stage spectacles at the expense of civility and substance.
The interview in question did neither. It was not a demonstration of fearless journalism. It was a demonstration of how easily the craft can slide into something far less admirable when provocation becomes the objective and professionalism is abandoned.

@SegunShowunmi @mehdirhasan Your long epistle is worthless and a complete waste of time. Mehdi Hasan was fantastic and even quite polite to Daniel Bwala. The real problem is that our politicians are so shameless they constantly end up swallowing their own words.
Does Bwala thinks AlJazeera is TVC news?,?
English

@BwalaDaniel This is the kind of disgrace that will befall those who keep defending the incompetent and ineffective leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A government that has clearly failed in its primary responsibility of securing lives and property has no moral ground to stand on. Its a Shame

PRESS STATEMENT
In the last 24 hours, social media has exploded over my interview with Mehdi Hassan, albeit with varied opinions. Let me set the record straight.
When I signed on to the privileged job granted to me by Mr. President, I was well aware of its implications. Selling ice cream, looking fine, and seeking the praises of men were never part of it. Some of the fiercest critics of my interview can not even stand local TV anchors. But the task of promoting and defending the President and his administration is what I do with ease and joy. I am prepared to appear before any interviewer, anywhere in the world, any day and at any time, to defend this government and its policies.
I have never, and will never, subscribe to ducking or dodging interviews on matters that concern promoting and defending the administration I was appointed to serve. It is the least of what is required of me.
Head to Head contacted me requesting an interview, stating that they wanted to challenge our government on security, the economy, and corruption. Nowhere in our almost six months of communication did they mention that they were going to challenge my past. If that had been their plan, ethically and professionally, they were supposed to inform me so I could prepare my response. But that’s okay, ethically, that is on them, not on me.
I refused to swallow the pill of Mehdi’s “opposition research-style journalism,” and even today, if you carefully compare what he read as quotes from organisations and groups, you will see that many were inaccurate and some were outright fake news. But I will leave that for another day.
As for what I said about President Tinubu in the past, I am glad those were things I said when I was in the opposition saddle with such zeal. It is all politics. Half of Donald Trump’s cabinet is made up of people who once spoke against him, and quite a number of people in our own cabinet also spoke against President Tinubu in the past. Those things do not bother him if you care to know.
The majority of the naysayers are members of the opposition and their sympathisers. It does not bother me one bit. Their temporary excitement over the interview has not lasted and will not last, because it does not take away their obvious problem of lack of vision, mission in conducting and managing a political party; yet they seek to manage Nigeria. Clearly they have no path to victory and no alternative policies or program for the Nigerian people. And if they say they do, they can as well go to head to head and be interrogated on that; as the saying in Hausa goes “Ga fili Ga doki”
I conclude by thanking the many Nigerians and non-Nigerians who sent in their commendations over my brave defence of our government in an interview where the anchor would hardly let you answer a question unless it suited his narrative.
I still have admiration and respect for Mehdi Hassan as arguably the best debater on the planet. I look forward to part two of the Head to Head interview, and I am glad that by then questions about my past will no longer be news so that we can focus on our administration’s policies, programs and what we have achieved so far.
Stay tuned.

@sowore @PeterObi @NgLabour I respect Omoyele Sowore for his activism and for consistently criticizing failed governance. However, he cannot be compared to a leader as credible, accountable, and influential as Peter Obi. You can insult Peter Obi from today till 2027; it will change nothing. Joim him
English

May political homelessness never be our portion.
Nigeria’s most celebrated political drifters, led by @PeterObi, have once again packed their bags, moving from one homeless shelter @NgLabour to another, this time the Association of Desperate Conmen (ADC).
It is a logical migration, from confusion to delusion, from moral posturing to naked opportunism, while maintaining ideological proximity to their friends in the Association of Present Criminals (APC).
Different logos. Same scam.
And you bet they will justify this too! #revolutionnow

@sowore @PeterObi @NgLabour Bros,
Pls continue with activism and allow PO to move to whichever party he chooses. The over 9 Nigerians in the Obidient Movement will move with him to any party he joins. His credibility, transparency, accountability, and empathy are the reasons he enjoys such massive support.

PRESS RELEASE
SUCCESSFUL PRECISION STRIKES ON FOREIGN ISIS ELEMENTS APPROVED BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU--Federal Government
The Federal Government of Nigeria, in close coordination with the Government of the United States of America, has successfully conducted precision strike operations against two major Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves located within the Bauni forest axis of Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
Intelligence confirmed that these locations were being used as assembly and staging grounds by foreign ISIS elements infiltrating Nigeria from the Sahel region, in collaboration with local affiliates, to plan and execute large-scale terrorist attacks within Nigerian territory.
The precision strike operations were executed between 00:12 hours and 01:30 hours on Friday, 26 December, 2025, following explicit approval by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The operation was carried out under established command and control structures, with the full involvement of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and under the supervision of the Honourable Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.
The strikes were launched from maritime platforms domiciled in the Gulf of Guinea, after extensive intelligence gathering, operational planning, and reconnaissance.
A total of 16 GPS-guided precision munitions were deployed using MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial platforms, successfully neutralising the targeted ISIS elements attempting to penetrate Nigeria from the Sahel corridor.
During the course of the operation, debris from expended munitions fell in Jabo, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, and in Offa, Kwara State, near the premises of a hotel. No civilian casualties were recorded in either location, and relevant authorities promptly secured the affected areas.
The Federal Government of Nigeria reiterates its unwavering resolve to confront, degrade, and eliminate terrorist threats, particularly those posed by transnational extremist networks seeking to undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.
Nigeria remains fully aligned with its strategic partners and Friends of Nigeria in executing coordinated actions aimed at ensuring lasting peace, border security, and regional stability.
The Federal Government assures all Nigerians that it remains firmly in control of the national security architecture and is fully committed to the protection of lives and property.
Citizens are urged to remain calm and vigilant as decisive actions continue against all terrorist groups threatening the nation.

Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation.

@aonanuga1956 Bayo, you and your APC cohorts are bunch of hypocrites, speaking from both sides of your mouths. You attacked Peter Obi for suggesting Nigeria accept help from the U.S., deliberately twisting it into some nonsense about an “invasion.” Now you are explaining. You go explain tire!

One of my greatest joys for 2025 is that, so far this year, I have worn authentic, made-in-Nigeria cultural clothes made from made-in-Nigeria fabric by a Nigerian designer every single day. Even when I went to the beach, I still wore made-in-Nigeria beachwear that I designed myself.
The only times I did not wear made-in-Nigeria clothing for just a few hours in a day were when I went to the gym for a workout and for three hours for a photo op at the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. And even then, I later changed it to made-in-Nigeria that same day.
In 2026, we, as a nation, can save the $4 billion we spend annually on imported clothes by simply dressing in made-in-Nigeria clothes.

English

@aonanuga1956 This budget exposes an APC government that has failed to manage resources, failed to protect the future, and failed to deliver results—chronic overspending and rising debt repackaged as “Renewed Hope.”
English

In a nutshell: Nigeria's 2026 budget as presented by President Bola Tinubu on Friday December 19
The 2026 Federal Budget is anchored on realism, prudence, and growth.
The key aggregates are as follows:
1) Expected total revenue is 34.33 trillion naira.
2) Projected total expenditure is 58.18 trillion naira, including 15.52 trillion naira for debt servicing.
3) Recurrent (non‑debt) expenditure is 15.25 trillion naira.
4) Capital expenditure will be 26.08 trillion.
5) The Budget deficit is expected to be 23.85 trillion naira, representing 4.28% of GDP.
These numbers are not mere accounting lines.
They are a statement of national priorities. We remain firmly committed to fiscal sustainability, debt transparency, and value‑for‑money spending.
The 2026–2028 Medium‑Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper sets the parameters for this Budget. Our projections are based on:
1) a conservative crude oil benchmark of US64.85 dollars per barrel;
2) crude oil production of 1.84 million barrels per day; and
3) an average exchange rate of 1,400 naira to the US Dollar for the 2026 fiscal year.
We will continue to reduce waste, strengthen controls, and ensure that every naira borrowed or spent delivers measurable public value.
Our allocations reflect the Renewed Hope Agenda and the practical needs of Nigerians. Key sectoral provisions include:
1) Defence and security: 5.41 trillion naira
2) Infrastructure: 3.56 trillion naira
3) Education: 3.52 trillion naira
4) Health: 2.48 trillion naira
These priorities are interlinked. Without security, investment will not thrive. Without educated and healthy citizens, productivity will not rise. Without infrastructure, jobs and enterprises will not scale. This Budget is, therefore, designed to provide a single, coherent programme of national renewal.

English

@aonanuga1956 Even with large allocations on paper, Nigerians see no real improvements in security, health, education, or infrastructure.
English

@aonanuga1956 Despite loud claims of capital investment, actual project delivery remains poor, while the budget still relies heavily on oil, risky production targets, and unstable FX assumptions. The cost of governance has not been reduced, and waste continues unchecked.
English

@aonanuga1956 Almost 45% of all revenue (₦15.52trn) will go to debt servicing, so national income is being used to pay creditors instead of improving the lives of Nigerians. Borrowing is no longer for development but to fund consumption and repay old debts.
English

@aonanuga1956 The APC government plans to earn ₦34.33trn but spend ₦58.18trn, creating a massive ₦23.85trn deficit. This means government is spending ₦1.69 for every ₦1 it earns, a clear sign of fiscal irresponsibility.

Why Every Nigerian Undergraduate Needs President Tinubu To Be Reelected
As a student in a Nigerian university, ask yourself when was the last time you had a strike by your lecturers and their union, the Academic Staff Union of Universities?
Please fact-check me: The last time ASUU went on strike in Nigeria was on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Since President Bola Tinubu assumed office on Monday, May 29, 2023, there has never been an ASUU strike in this nation of ours. A four-year course is now a four-year course, and not a five-year CURSE!
The Academic Staff Union of Universities was established in 1978 and, since its founding, has had to go on almost 50 industrial actions.
Please again fact-check me: Since Nigeria's return to democratic governance on Saturday, May 29, 1999, there have been sixteen strikes by ASUU.
Every administration between 1999 and 2022 has experienced multiple ASUU protests. Every government, without fail, since 1978, has had to deal with industrial actions by our citadels of learning.
This is the first and only time since ASUU was founded in 1978 that Nigerian undergraduates have had a smooth, uninterrupted, and unimpeded academic calendar for three consecutive years.
It means that you will graduate on time as long as you pass your examinations and fulfil your class attendance requirements.
And who did this for you?
One person and one person only: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the lover of education.
Other than ASUU strikes, the only other thing that could have disrupted your education as an undergraduate was finances.
However, the President was ahead of you. Ever a forward thinker (that is what Asiwaju means in Lukumi Yoruba. The term refers to a progressive who acts as a vanguard), Bola Tinubu signed the Student Loan Bill into law on Monday, 12 June 2023.
As of today, Saturday, 13 December 2025, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has granted student loans to approximately 788,000 students.
So, as a Nigerian undergraduate who is registered to vote, ask yourself this question:
Why should you leave a steady hand like President Bola Tinubu in 2027, to vote in a person like Peter Obi, for example, who spent eight years as Anambra Governor and could not build even one nursery, primary, or secondary school and university?
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has, as of late today, approved a total of 20 new private universities and two new federal universities.
Or why would you change a man who introduced an uninterrupted university academic calendar into Nigeria for anyone under whom universities were on strike for months on end?
This is your future we are talking about! Staying at home for one year is not a joke. That is almost 2% of your lifespan.
Would you risk 2% of your lifespan on people who built breweries instead of schools? And bought 400 cars for Igwes when schools in their states were on strike? Tufiakwa!
God did not call you to be a drunkard. He created you to acquire beneficial knowledge. That is why the Bible says 'My people perish for lack of knowledge' and al-Quran says iqra!
And since that is the case, it is in your own interest to re-elect the Pillar of Education in Nigeria in the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu!

@renoomokri Effective revenue means the school would be able to fund its staff payment and fund its costs. That's why student loans are better because everybody gains: the school, the student, and the government (if effectively repaid)
