Happy spring, everyone! 🌺 Come celebrate the sunshine with us, on a task at Aston Rowant NNR, in South Oxfordshire @RowantNNR – that's tomorrow, Sunday 22nd. 🦗We will be removing scrub encroaching on the base Beacon Hill, and repairing a fence. #Oxford ocv.org.uk

The plan for tomorrow, Sunday 15, is to coppice hazel in a private woodland in the Chilterns. Coppicing ensures the regeneration of new growth from the coppiced stools, helping prolong the life of the trees, and lets light in. 🌺 ocv.org.uk #Oxford

This Sunday, 8th we'll be working at Wolfson College Water Meadows in North Oxford - we will clear scrub in preparation for a new stretch of fencing. If you're on our mailing list, you should have received an email with all task details. 🪲 ocv.org.uk #Oxford

⚠️ Unfortunately, due to problems with our van, we cannot offer pick-ups tomorrow (Sunday 22nd) in St. Giles. ⚠️We will however have two cars at the Cowley Road pick-up (Tesco/Boots) at 9.30 who will take volunteers on a first come first served basis. ocv.org.uk

Tomorrow, Sunday 8th we're in the village of Kirtlington to lay another stretch of the old hedge that borders the village allotment. 🌸 We'll be picking up volunteers at 9:20 on St Giles outside the Lamb and Flag and 9:30 outside Tesco on Cowley Rd. 🐝 ocv.org.uk

Tomorrow, Sunday 21, is our last visit of the year to Aston Rowant NNR @RowantNNR. We'll be removing scrub encroaching on the Ant Hill plot on top of Beacon Hill. By removing invasive scrub species, we help preserve conditions favourable for wildflowers 🌷 ocv.org.uk
