Breaking: Tension on Molete Road 😳
There’s serious panic right now around Molete in Ibadan after a container reportedly fell on some motorcycle riders. Eyewitnesses say a number of people are trapped and injured, while residents and passersby are doing everything they can to help before emergency teams arrive.
The situation has completely disrupted movement in the area as traffic is now heavily locked down, with vehicles stranded and people confused about where to pass.
Many residents are calling on emergency responders and government agencies to act fast, rescue those affected, and bring things back under control.
More updates coming. Stay safe if you’re around that axis. 🚨

Everyone arguing Bodija vs Ring Road as the “king of nightlife in Ibadan” is missing one thing: definition.
What exactly are you referring to when you say nightlife? What metrics are you looking at?
Is it the Number of clubs & lounges each area has? Is it about popularity & crowd pull? Is it about street buzz & late-night activity? Or maybe history (who dominated first?)
Metrics and definition matter. Truly, if you are looking at number of lounges and clubs, Bodija/Akala Express/Ring Road clearly lead the way in all of Ibadan. Don’t also be surprised that there are more local joints/beer parlors in some areas in Ibadan than the number we have in Bodija and ring road combined.
Most people arguing are not even using the same definition of nightlife. So before you pick a winner for the king of nightlife in Ibadan, define your metric. What counts as nightlife to you?
