On Saturday, April 25th, I was invited to speak on a panel at the @womenindefi_org Summit 2026. Topic was funding, founding, and the female factor in DeFi and blockchain. And one thing kept coming up in different ways. Confidence. Because let’s be honest… This space is still heavily male dominated. You see it in the rooms. You hear it on the panels. You feel it when you’re just starting out. But here’s what I said during the session: The industry might be male dominated. But the tech is not male coded. There’s no line of code that says only men can build here. No protocol that filters out women. No smart contract that checks your gender before executing. The real barrier most times is internal. Self doubt, Second guessing your voice,Waiting until you feel ready enough. Meanwhile, the people you’re waiting to feel equal to are figuring things out as they go too. So if you’re a woman building in this space: Speak up even when your voice shakes. Take up space even when it feels uncomfortable and trust that you belong here. Because you 🫵 do.
