Today marks the 17th anniversary of Resident Evil 5 🌋 On March 5, 2009, Capcom released Resident Evil 5 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan. Resident Evil 5, also known as Biohazard 5, was an evolution of the genre, building on the features of the previous title in the series with improved graphics using motion capture for cinematic scenes, as well as its cooperative mode and Mercenaries mode. It was later released in a Gold edition that included DLC, Versus mode, and costumes to further enhance the main game experience. Set in 2009, it introduces us to Chris Redfield in search of answers about the whereabouts of his partner Jill Valentine. This search takes him to Kijuju, West Africa, where Sheva Alomar, another BSAA agent, awaits him for a new mission.
