Sorry, that comparison doesn't really work for 1 big reason.
Furrys like ANTHROPOMORPHIC animals.
It's the ADULT HUMAN features that makes furry characters attractive. They aren't Animals, they are People.

i’m so sick of people ignoring the fact that logic and consistency is so obviously not present in ddlc that even monika mentions it. it’s why natsuki is stated as the youngest but they’re all 18. monika’s reality is completely inconsistent and barely an accurate model of ours.

The thing that pisses me off is that they use all of the languages at the same time in the same phrase and it throws me off completely. Like i can read hiragana but suddenly a kanji mid line and suddenly a katakana that looks too similar to a hiragana but it doesn't mean the same

This was literally never a thing.
"Don't lewd the loli" was barely used by anyone until dragon maid and even then it was kind of an ironic thing considering kanna is intended to be lewd.
There's plenty of moe to go around but if you're living on twitter you won't find it.

@z1papq we had honest to god discourse a couple years ago over whether rebecca from cyberpunk edgerunners, a character who is extremely clearly meant to be an adult woman (she's covered in tattoos and introduced at a bar and drawn around 5'2 when she's on-model), is a "loli"

Nope. I assume it’s a knowledge issue, because this is how every RPG ever works. Limbus Company for a lot of fights has set up this situation where the ‘Enemy Turn’ does not exist via clashing and breaking coins. This simply doesn’t happen in other RPG-

There are plenty of reasons to criticise it for being a poor design while also acknowledging you can get around it, but it's more of an infinite escape hatch than a counter, which is why it's a problem at all

In my whole life I've seen ONE jp- English localization that felt genuinely like whoever did it had contempt for both the work and the audience. It was a long time ago, but it has stuck with me how, not just bad, but spiteful it felt. I've never come across anything like it since
