I am a healthcare professional and today I assessed a 42 year old man for a physiological condition. Outwardly this man had it all: -probably the most handsome man I have ever seen in person my entire life and very physically fit, especially for his age -ran a successful business that afforded him a very comfortable life style -beautiful wife and healthy infant child -was building a new family home worth over $3 million Inwardly this man was: -riddled with anxiety, stress, and depression -expressed self contempt for not running his business perfectly and having episodes of exhaustion, which he called laziness -held himself to impossible standards of physical fitness of when he was a man half his age -emotionally exhausted being the emotional rock for his family and friends who all unload their problems on him, but were never available - or even considered - that he may need the same sometimes -felt he was failing to balance his life well enough to spend time with his family and meet their needs When I suggested that perhaps he could talk to a male psychologist who may understand the struggles of being a providing family man and help with working through the issues he describe, he basically scoffed and said "I've mentioned to several doctors that I am not coping with the stress and think I wanted to talk to someone about it, but none of them thought I needed to." Outwardly, this man looks like a successful superman, and so no one - even doctors - thought it was possible he could be suffering psychologically and need help. All the new sex specific healthcare initiatives rolled out by the Albanese government are geared explicitly for women. There has not been a single one for me. Not one. Meanwhile, 7 men die every day from suicide in Australia. Every. Single. Day. No one cares. No one wants to help men in our Woke society. They are men. They are evil. They are expendable. They deserve it.
