On January 1, 2026, 19 states raised their minimum wage, increasing pay for more than eight million workers. 💰 Pennsylvania was not one of them. Our minimum wage has remained at $7.25 an hour for more than 15 years. Pennsylvania is long past due for a wage that keeps up with today’s economy.

In 2025, we stood up for PA workers. While workers in 22 states received raises, PA families were still stuck with a $7.25 minimum wage. House Democrats fought to raise wages and we won’t stop until workers are paid what they deserve. In 2026, the fight continues.

Legislation introduced by @RepDawkins just passed the House 157-46 and now heads to @GovernorShapiro for his signature. This bill allows domestic violence survivors to qualify for unemployment compensation AND delays a scheduled reduction in benefits for three years.

Great news! @RepKrajewski's legislation that makes it easier to form a worker-owned cooperative just passed the House 194-9! Existing law requires 5 workers to start a co-op, but this bill reduces it to 3 workers.

In 2026, PA's $7.25 minimum wage will continue to fall farther behind all of our neighbors: $16 in NY, $15.92 in NJ, $15 in MD and DE, $11.00 in OH, and $8.75 in WV. We need to #raisethewage!
