Our latest monthly jobs report is out. Unemployment claims in the areas hit hardest by the flooding last month nearly doubled, with the Barre and Newport offices showing the biggest change. Read more: publicassets.org/library/public…

Our latest jobs report is out. We don’t know the impact of the storm on unemployment claims yet, but as of Friday, 8 counties are eligible for Federal disaster unemployment assistance (DUA). DUA also covers independent contractors, the self-employed, and ag workers.

Jobs Report: For the 2nd year in a row, Vermont saw record-setting job growth, netting 9,000 additional jobs in 2022 & more than 8,000 jobs in 2021. In the previous two decades, Vermont had never gained more than 4,000 jobs in a single year. Full report: publicassets.org/library/public…
