It also offers numerous simulators, such as Engagement Skill Trainers, Virtual Combat Operations Trainers, Operator Driver Simulators and Call-For-Fire Trainers.

The facility, which opened in 2021, offers a wide variety of training aids, such as dummy weapons, Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) gear, medical equipment and opposing force uniforms.

It was again redesignated during World War II as the 28th Infantry Division. Today, the 28th ID is the oldest continuously serving division in the U.S. Army, and it is a major component of the @PANationalGuard.

Brig. Gen. Reece Lutz assumed command as the 28th Infantry Division’s 41st commanding general from Maj. Gen. Michael Wegscheider during a change-of-command ceremony March 7 at Fort Indiantown Gap. Reece previously served as the 28th ID's deputy commanding general – maneuver.

At about 1:15 p.m. on March 4, a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter operated by Soldiers from the @PANationalGuard made a precautionary landing in Robeson Township, Berks County. There were no injuries, and there is no damage to the aircraft. The incident is under investigation.

.@TAGofPA Maj. Gen. John Pippy hosted a visit from the Lithuanian Army’s Griffin Brigade command team recently at Ft Indiantown Gap. During their visit, two of the Lithuanian soldiers were awarded the Order of Saint Maurice, which recognizes the contributions made by infantrymen.

The 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team will convert into a Mobile Brigade Combat Team as part of an Army-mandated transformation. As part of the conversion, the brigade will divest its Stryker vehicles and will get Infantry Squad Vehicles. More here: pa.ng.mil/Site-Managemen…

Col. Christopher McLaud assumed command of the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team from Col. Christopher Costello during a change-of-command and retirement ceremony Feb. 21. Costello, who commanded the 56th SBCT since September 2022, retired during the ceremony.
