Dante spoke under a sigh. A long day at new years eve, the local gang and crime rates that are rising in Chicago.

Ruzek was known to do triple shifts lately, his work kept him away from wanting to spiral. His mind was on overload with work, private life and his relationship. He was able to keep it running smoothly.

No Dante...not everything was fine.
He was approached the night before by a local gang whom threatened him and his mother. It knocked him off guard slightly, he just hated to tell any of his colleagues yet he hated to hide things from them just as much.

Dante would give a small warm nod, as he then re-aimed his gaze to the screen.
At the question of Ruzek he would give another small gaze at Adam, staying quiet for a split second before replying
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Everything's good. Just long days at the office lately"+

And he couldn't blame him...he knew he should tell his colleagues about it, he was aware very well about him hiding things from them which was against every way of Dante himself. He hated that he must lie, all out of fear something would happen to his mother

Gave a careful yet strict look at both documents, placing them aside of each other so he could compare and connect the dots.
Anything he could do to get off from the topic about his private life after work, he would do.

Dante would give an agreeing nod, he never been the person who'd open up that quickly..not even if you were his colleague. Too much anxiety and trauma for that
