@PATHTrain Is the vending machine info something new? Last I checked you can only see if you have an active 10 trip (20 trip etc), but not the actual balance.

@PATHTrain how can I check my trip balance? TAPP website is currently not working. I’ve tried two different devices and get ‘unexpected server error’. Really terrible design that there is no way to access this info from the turnstile or vending machine.

The train you saw was finishing its overnight service run, which is why it was labeled with JSQ (via HOB). According to station footage around the time of your trip, we can see at 6:10 AM a WTC-bound train arrives on Platform B and departs 3 minutes later. At 6:17 AM, a WTC-bound arrives on the same track and departs at 6:22 AM. If you were standing on a different platform, please let us know.

@john4brown Yes, this was a recent update. Please let us know if you have any issue finding the info on the machine and we can walk you through the steps again.

Fare enforcement falls solely under the purview of the Port Authority Police Department. While PAPD officers are deployed throughout the PATH system, they cannot be everywhere at once. You may also directly contact PAPD at 800-828-PAPD (7273) to speak to them directly on this matter and voice your concerns.

It is amazing how many people don’t pay the fare at Harrison Path station. Instead of raising fares how about we enforce payment first? @PATHTrain

We appreciate you explaining the details of your experiance. We investigated your report with our teams and can confirm the following. There was a train labeled with JSQ via HOB on the digital signage on the side of the train, however, this train was serving direct 33rd-bound service to our Hoboken customers. This train was operating overnight and although routing operations changed during the 6AM hour, the trains signage was not just yet updated to reflect that it was heading to 33rd Street direct. This train has since been identified and is operating with the appropriate labeling. We appreciate you flagging this with us and apologize for any confusion it may have caused.
