Join us at the Portree Community Allotments on Wednesday morning 10am-12noon for a FREE compost making workshop. Composting reduces waste, improves your soil and helps combat climate change.

Pupils from Portree High School have been helping out at the allotments, well done them! Here they are planting the last willow slip of the day together. Have your kids grown out of their wellies? Please consider donating them to the allotments, via the PBCT office above Jans.

Come along to the Portree Community Allotments AGM this Tuesday at 7pm in the Portree Community Centre. As well as the election of a new Allotments Committee, there will be updates on the project so far, and on the consultation for developing the neighbouring land.

What would you like to see done with the land at Home Farm next to the allotments? We will have a stand in the entrance of the big Co-op Thurs-Sat to gather people's opinion, so if you see us there, please give us your thoughts. In the meantime, please reply with any ideas.

As we feared, the weather means we'll have to reschedule Saturday's party at the allotments, but we hope to have it at a future date.

The allotments will be having a party on Saturday, weather permitting, with cake, teas and coffees (bring a cup), as well as live music and a treasure hunt to keep kids entertained. Join us 2:30pm-4pm. (If the weather does fail us, we will reschedule for another day)

Many thanks to Heather and Judith @KLCTrust for their informative tour of The Plock last week, which gave us lots of ideas to take back to the allotments and surrounding field in Portree. Thanks also to @LocalPeopleLead for their help in making the exchange possible.
