Such great news, however my eyes are also looking in another direction. Keightley Way Plan as part of sewer project #gibraltar Looking forward to see where bicycle access is, will it be bidirectional & how walkers, wheelchair users will access the raised walkway @GibraltarGov

@David186186 @RGPolice This is also why the Minister for Transport @cortes_john correctly reduced the speed limit on the approach to the sundial roundabout to 30km/h following advice received from the Traffic Commission
English

@David186186 @RGPolice A car on the green line cannot safely drive onto DTR. It is risking hitting a car, a bicycle or an e-scooter on the inside lane travelling to the airport barrier
English

The @RGPolice & Ministry for Transport need to consider road safety campaign here as many cars are driving north along green line (outside lane) & then turning right onto DTR along dotted blue line. Cars driving to sports ground follow red line northbound & conflict 💥#gibraltar

English

@David186186 @RGPolice This is completely different & car at the give way will see car on roundabout & cede as it has right of way. However, if car is heading towards DTR & is on green line & cuts in, it will hit car on the right lane or worse a bicycle travelling to the airport barrier
English

@David186186 @RGPolice I was referring to the sports ground adjacent to the airport barrier. The correct position is on the RHS (red line) to go right or straight on to the Sports Ground and driving on the LHS to go into Bayside Road (yellow) and to turn 180 degrees back along WCA (green).

@BushJacqui1968 X not the right medium to express my ideas as tweets must be short. Perhaps I’ll share as a LinkedIn post. My opinion has not been sought. I have absolutely no idea what the plan is but I have very clear views on frontier fluidity & it’s potential to collapse our road network
English

@PBalban As former minister for transport, I would be really keen to hear your ideas.
I have been saying it for years. With all new development we need to look at the infrastructure, one artery for the lion share of daily traffic. Construction is not slowing down anytime soon either
English

This morn, traffic jam sprawling throughout #Gibraltar 45mins drive Airport Terminal to Coach Park, Traffic ushers standing in front of cars at junctions to stop them. How will frontier removal of further affect our city’s quality of life & our health. What’s the Plan? #sttpp

@e306 @cortes_john Just a shame that we are surrounded by sea & so many enjoy it. Just think that better use could be made of these, they keep people fit, doing exercise. A solution would be affordable storage.
English

@PBalban @cortes_john The underlying issue here is the lack of storage options over the winter. I bet people would happily remove them, if they had somewhere to put them. The kayak rack and clubs don't have any availability. Same thing will happen next winter.
English

Seems an awful shame and environmental contradiction to dispose of all this plastic. People will simply buy more canoes and kayaks at the start of the next bathing season. Why not recycle and re-use, hold a sale & let people buy them cheaply @cortes_john #gibraltar

English

@angus_macnab @BushJacqui1968 @cortes_john Totally agree, people should be responsible for their own belongings, but since they haven’t been stored, the next best thing is to try to find a use for them, if possible
English

@BushJacqui1968 @PBalban @cortes_john Well if it is their property it’s their duty to look after it and store it off season.
Simple, if you left a vehicle abandoned, this can be removed and auctioned off.
English

Couldn’t this make motor vehicles even more attractive. Concerned this may help increase vehicle ownership rate even further, and work against the thinking behind the previously published Environment Strategies & Plans #gibraltar #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis

English

@GBCNewsroom Doesn’t this make motorised vehicles even more attractive and might this initiative not increase vehicle ownership even further? Is the Climate Emergency now over? #sttpp #gibraltar #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis

@LaLlave1704 Don’t understand. Local businesses also use pavement on Main St. for tables & chairs, shops also use the pavements to sell souvenirs & place advertising boards. So it’s not really one rule for one and another rule for another. If businesses apply, DPC should now approve all.
English

@LabradorMBE No idling signs are a good idea but need enforcement. Parents are waiting for their own children & creating harmful environment for them. IMO Tile project should have been an extension of original initiative used when place is clear cut eg Qwari 👍 For more complex areas these ⬇️

@YourGibraltarTV We sat in discussion groups for hours, local expert historians debating, when I started this project back in 2015. The sole purpose was to preserve our street name heritage. I like the idea of tiles, but agree this new initiative needs to be thought out more #gibraltar

Great initiative, but I believe Europa Point has never been known locally as 'Punta Europa'! Instead it has always been 'La Farola'. Although it's the incorrect wording (farola is landpost, faro is lighthouse),it's what we have always named this area. Can we change @cortes_john ?
