That’s a lot. So what do we do about it? First, have hope. I called Israel’s leadership a dictatorship because they are: their own country is on the brink of civil war. If there’s dissonance in their own country, clearly things aren’t going to plan for their dictator Benjamin Netanyahu. Second, we can take personal responsibility for how we act, and we can stop Israel’s strategy for “divide and conquer” dead in its tracks. If you would take any advice from a washed-up YouTuber, here it is. The main premise of these rules is to unite as a people with bravery in our actions and love in our hearts. · Spend time with people, especially young men. Share a meal with that lonely cousin, friend, or neighbor. Young and lonely American men are most likely to be initiated to enforce an authoritarian regime. And if you are a man, connect with a community, church, local farmers, anything. Through community you will find purpose beyond ideology or money · Listen to diverse, independent voices with compassion and understanding. Avoid mainstream media sources · Reject the "With Us or Against Us" mentality. One of the great purposes of humanity is to be united in love. Do not be exploited to turn against your neighbor · Set up systems of interdependence with your local community by coming in contact with local farmers. Or better yet, become a local farmer yourself if you can. I know this sounds very difficult for the average city person, but I do believe the stakes are high enough to justify the effort. If your local community is self-sufficient, centralized government can’t have an impact on your access to basic needs · Practice Radical Empathy for the "Other Side". The ultimate tool of division is dehumanization. Once you see a group of people as "sub-human" or "pure evil", you have already been conquered. Nobody is pure evil. If anybody wants you to think this way, turn away from their lies and seek truth · Say what you know to be true with peace and compassion for all that listen to you. Some will not be able to understand, or not want to. You must let them make that choice for themselves [End]
