Congratulations again to Dr. James Bailey @jbailey who received the 2025-2026 Provost's Faculty Fellowship.

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in India and completed her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of New Mexico. She enjoys teaching Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Development Economics.

Dr. Sen Chakraborty is an applied microeconomist with research interests in Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Gender. Her work focuses on the impacts of government programs and weather shocks on adolescent human capital and labor outcomes in developing countries.

Great to have Dr. Kritika Sen Chakraborty join the Economics Department @PCEconDept at Providence College as Assistant Professor starting this fall!

Shatanjaya is a development and labor economist with research interests in gender-relevant topics.

Shatanjaya received her PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder @CU_Economics. She joined PC in 2019 and teaches core and elective courses in microeconomics.

At PC he teaches ECN102 and ECN202, and he also serves as the faculty advisor for the College Fed Challenge competition.

Nestor received his PhD in Economics from NYU @nyuniversity. His research interests include open-economy macroeconomics, international finance and monetary policy. Current work explores the determinants of international business cycle co-movement.
